Janhvi Kapoor took to her social media recently to post a promotional video for the upcoming Disney film The Little Mermaid.

In the video, Janhvi recites the poem ‘Machhli jal ki rani hain’ to a young girl. As she mouths the words, we see visuals from the film with Halle Bailey as ariel. Towards the end of the poem as Janhvi says, ‘Bahar nikalo toh (if you take her out)’, we see the actor transform into a mermaid, with a blouse and a fin.

The Little Mermaid, directed by Rob Marshall, features Halle Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Awkwafina as Scuttle, Noma Dumezweni, and Jude Akuwudike.

Disney India is set to release The Little Mermaid on May 26, exclusively in English. On the film front, Janhvi will next be seen in Bawaal with Varun Dhawan. She also has Mr. & Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao on the cards.
