Sara Ali Khan on wearing lehenga at Cannes debut: I’ve always been proud of my Indianness

Actor Sara Ali Khan made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year, which is currently in progress. The actor wore a white lehenga at the opening ceremony at the international film festival.

Her attire was designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

While speaking to the shutterbugs present at the red carpet, on being asked how she is feeling, Sara said, "Nervous... I've always aspired to be here someday, and I can't believe I'm here." On her look, Sara said, "It's a traditional and modern Indian handmade design by Abu and Sandeep (Khosla). I've always been proud of my Indianness. It embodies who I am, it's fresh, it's modern and also has traditional roots."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara is currently promoting her upcoming romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bach Ke with Vicky Kaushal. Apart from that, she is involved in the films Ae Watan Mere Watan, an untitled project directed by Jagan Shakti, and Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak.
