Jahnvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew will soon star together in a thriller set around the world of Indian Foreign Services (IFS). Titled Ulajh, the film was announced by its production house Junglee Pictures on Wednesday. It is slated to go on floors by the end of May.
Ulajh also features Rajesh Tailang, Meiyang Chang, Sachin Khedekar, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi. It will be directed by Sudhanshu Saria, who won the National Film Award for his short Knock, Knock, Knock.
Ulajh is said to follow the journey of a young IFS officer, belonging to a prominent family of patriots, who gets embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far from her home turf, at a career-defining post. It is written by Parveez Shaikh along with Sudhanshu, with dialogues by Atika Chohan (Margarita With A Straw, 2014, Chhapaak, 2020).
Sharing a photo of the film’s cast on social media, Junglee Pictures tweeted, “The price of secrets is higher in the world of Diplomacy. Introducing the powerhouse cast of #Ulajh Shoot begins at the end of the month.”
Janhvi was last seen in Mili (2022). She has Bawaal with Varun Dhawan, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao and Telugu film NTR30 with Junior NTR in the pipeline.
