Cricketer Shubman Gill has been roped in as the voice actor to play Spider-Man India in the Hindi and Punjabi versions of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.  Sony Pictures IN, along with Shubham Gill, announced the news through their social media platforms. Shubman will essay the role of Pavitr Prabhakar, who gained his spidey powers from an ancient yogi.

Speaking about lending his voice to the Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, Shubman shared, "I have grown up watching Spider-Man, and he is one of the most relatable superheroes. Since the movie will be debuting the Indian Spider-Man for the first time on screen, getting to be the voice of our Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar, in the Hindi and Punjabi languages was such a remarkable experience for me. Already, I feel superhuman. I am eagerly anticipating the release of this movie."

Meanwhile, directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, the original English-language Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse features Karan Soni as Pavitr Prabhakar.
