The recently released Hindi film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway starring Rani Mukherjee in the lead role, has collected Rs 21.43 crore at the worldwide gross box office, the makers announced on social media on Saturday.

Based on true story, Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is about an NRI couple living in Norway whose children were taken by the Norwegian welfare services in 2011, after they deem the parents unfit to take care of them. The film will follow Rani’s struggle to get back her children.

“The best course of action while adapting a real-life story is to tone down the dramatics. Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway doesn’t exactly go for that but finds the right balance between high sentiments and subtle emotions. The story might seem predictable in the beginning, but it has enough in its arsenal to propel the drama whenever it starts lagging,' reads CE review of the film.

The film is directed by Ashima Chibber. Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway also stars Anirban Bhattacharya, Jim Sarbh and Neena Gupta. The film is produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani under the Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment banner.
