Ananya Panday plays billionaire fashionista in Prime Video’s Call Me Bae

Ananya Panday will lead Prime Video’s upcoming series Call Me Bae. The show started filming on Thursday. 

The series is directed by Collin D’Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra who has also co-written the series with Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair.

In an announcement video on Instagram, Varun Dhawan introduces Ananya’s character in the series. In the video Varun takes a dig at ‘fashion people’ and Ananya goes Miranda Priestly on him and gives him some schooling. 

As per the official synopsis, Ananya plays billionaire fashionista Bae who is disowned by her ultra-rich family owing to a scandal. She has to now fend for herself, for the first time ever. On this journey, she overcomes stereotypes, negotiates around prejudices and discovers who she really is.
