Actor-politician Kirron Kher tests Covid-19 positive

In 2021, Kirron was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer

Actor and Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher announced on Monday that she has tested positive for Covid-19. Taking to Twitter, Kirron wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid. So anyone who has come in contact with me please get yourself tested.”

Kirron took a break from work in 2021 after she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. She later recovered from the disease and returned as the judge on the show India’s Got Talent.

The actor is known for playing mother roles. Her popular roles include those in DevdasRang De BasantiHum TumDostana and Main Hoon Na, among others.

Kirron is the wife of actor Anupam Kher. They married in 1985. She had previously tied the knot with Mumbai-based businessman Gautam Berry and had a son, Sikandar Kher, in 1981.

Kirron was last seen on the silver screen in 2014 with films like Punjab 1984 and Khoobsurat.
