The teaser of Pasoori Nu, a song from Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s upcoming film Satyaprem Ki Katha was unveiled today. The song is a remake of the hit number Pasoori by Pakistani singers Ali Sethi and Shae Gill.

The remake will be crooned by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar. Earlier, it was reported that the song will be remade by the makers for the film. The news didn’t sit well with people on social media. While some stated that the makers should not “ruin a classic”, others accused them of relying just on remaking popular numbers.

The makers of Satyaprem Ki Katha have unveiled multiple tracks so far. These include Naseeb Se, Aaj Ke Baad, Gujju Pataka, and Sun Sajni.

The recently released trailer of the film introduced us to Kartik Aaryan’s Satyaprem, a Gujarati boy desperately looking for a girl to wed. Amidst the dandiya sequences, he meets Katha (Kiara Advani), a Gujarati girl who is already in a relationship with a guy named Tapan. But Kartik can wait if this current boyfriend is just a “timepass”. Moreover, he states hers and Tapan’s wedding hashtag won’t make sense. We see Kartik and Kiara dance, flirt and finally, love blooms.

Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora. It marks Kiara’s reunion with Kartik after Bhool Bhulaiya 2. The film will be released in theatres on June 29.
