The trailer of Tarla, the upcoming film starring actor Huma Qureshi in the lead titular role, was released by the makers on social media on Friday. The actor’s role is fashioned after the late chef and cookbook author Tarla Dalal.

Revealing that she grew up watching the chef’s shows and eating the recreations of her recipes by her mother, Huma said, "Tarla is a moving and a feel-good film with a dash of emotions, a sprinkle of inspiration and a garnish of flavourful entertainment. Tarla's ambitious nature and her relentless pursuit of purpose will surely inspire the audience who want to do something remarkable and pathbreaking in life.”

The trailer shows Tarla as a famed home chef, who is first shown as an ambitious young girl, as she evolves to realize her passion for cooking and becomes one. Tarla is shown to take cooking classes before going on to do TV shows.

The film stars Sharib Hashmi as the chef's husband. Backed by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari's Earthsky Pictures, Tarla will stream on ZEE5 from July 7.
