On Friday, Disney+ Hotstar announced that the trailer of Kajol's The Trial will be out on June 12.  On Twitter, the streamer wrote, "The tougher the trial, the harder you come back! Catch the trailer for the courtroom drama." 

Earlier in the day, Kajol announced that she will be taking a break from social media, and wrote, "Facing one of the toughest trials of my life." It is now being reported that she did the same as a promotional strategy for The Trial. 

The Trial is said to be the official remake of the American drama series The Good Wife. Directed by Suparn Verma, the series will revolve around Kajol's life, who, after spending 13 years as a housewife returns to work at a law firm to support her family as her husband gets imprisoned.

The Trial also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Kubbra Sait, Sheeba Chaddha, and Aamir Ali among others. The makers are yet to announce the premiere date for the series.
