Adipurush, the upcoming film starring Prabhas in the lead role, has been given a U certificate from the Censor Board. The film, which is set to hit the theatres on June 16, has a runtime of 179 minutes.

An adaptation of Hindu mythology Ramayana, the film is directed by Om Raut. While Prabhas will be playing Ram, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan will essay the roles of Sita and Lankesh respectively.  Though originally a Hindi language film, Adipurush will be released in all major South Indian languages.

Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series with Om Raut's home production Retrophiles. While Karthik Palani is the cinematographer, the edit is done by Apurva Motiwale, Sahai, and Ashish Mhatre. The film will also release in 3D format.
