On Thursday, music composer AR Rahman took to Twitter to announce that he has completed composing music for Maidaan. On the social media platform he wrote, "Just delivered all the 5 song masters for Maidaan. Can’t wait for you to listen to this soundtrack. Had a lot of fun working with Amit Sharma and Manoj Muntashir. Can you guess the singers?" (sic)

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Maidaan stars Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh in prominent roles.

The teaser of Maidaan features the Indian football team competing in the Helsinki Summer Olympics 1952, fighting the odds of not even having sports shoes and the determined grit of coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who managed our national team from 1950 to 1963. He was one of the key figures of the golden age of Indian football. Ajay will be portraying the role of Syed in the film.

Produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta, the technical crew of Maidaan includes director of photography Tushar Kanti Ray and editor Dev Rao Jhadav.
