Anupam Kher announces his next will be a fantasy film

‘The makers will announce the details on the 24th of August, ’ he stated

Anupam Kher took to his social media today to announce his 539th film.

He posted a photo, in which he can be seen dressed as a fantastical character, in green robes and sitting on a throne made of snakes. “My 539th film is not based on mythology or our great epics. But certainly India’s biggest Multi language fantasy film and you know the subject very well,” he captioned the post.

The film’s title and plot are still under wraps. “The makers will announce the details on 24th of August! In the meantime you can share your guesses with me!!! Jai Ho!,” he added.

Recently, Kher had shared a photo of himself as Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. He will be portraying the role of the late poet for his 538th film.

Kher has been keeping busy lately. Recently, he announced that he will be playing the role of a 69-year-old man who decides to compete in a triathlon contest. The film is titled Vijay 69. The actor also has a thriller, tentatively titled The Room, in the pipeline. He will be reuniting with his Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006) actor Parvin Dabas for the film. On the cards also is Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino, for which Kher will star alongside Neena Gupta, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan.
