Director Karan Johar, who recently joined the newly-launched Threads app, conducted an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with his fans. During the session, KJo answered questions about his sexuality, potential for a collaboration between Dharma Productions and SRK and also gave advice to young filmmakers.
When asked by a user if he is gay, Karan wittingly replied, “You’re interested?”. Speaking about his biggest regret as a director he said, “I never got to work with and direct my favourite actor Sridevi ma’am.” When asked “Dharma and SRK collaboration happen in future?” Karan replied, “Ask me no secrets will tell you no lies.”
In his answers, Karan also mentioned that his biggest strength is his thick skin and that Meryl Streep is his favourite actor.
A person asked, “What would you advise a 20yr old who wants to be a movie maker like you?” Karan wrote, “Don’t listen to naysayers! It’s possible so believe manifest and be educated in film before you deep dive into it.” Revealing the most challenging part of being a director, he said, “Dealing with people and sometimes their fragile egos.”
Karan is gearing up for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which will mark his return to the director’s chair after seven years. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, along with Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan, among others.
