Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday held his first AskSRK session after the success of Pathaan. The actor's comeback offering after a gap of five years has raided the global box-office, earning over Rs. 300 crore in just three days. The film has reportedly secured the biggest opening weekend ever for a Hindi film.
Asked about his feelings on the film's success, SRK said that he felt 'As happy as a father is when he sees his child being appreciated.'
The actor also responded to a comment about the film's underlying message of love trumping all divisions of race, religion and language.
"Sir, Pathaan has nailed the fact that love transcends race, religion, language, and region. Pathaan's is your success, India's success. With such a position comes responsibility and I hope you would do more to unite India and Indians. Jai Hind.”
To this, SRK wrote: "If there is one truth it is : ki hum sab ek hi maa aur pita ki santaan hain (We are all children of the same parents) Bharat ke. Hindustan ke…India ke. Jai Hind."
In the same session, Shah Rukh Khan also described Salman Khan as GOAT (Greatest Of All Time). Salman has a crowd-pleasing cameo in Pathaan as superspy Tiger. A fan wrote that while his film has succeeded, SRK won't be able to compete with Salman.
"Salman bhai is…woh kya kehte hain aaj kal…young log…haan….GOAT. ( greatest of all time ) #Pathaan," replied SRK.
