The first poster of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film Animal was revealed on New Year's eve. The poster features a bearded Ranbir Kapoor, in bloodied white overalls of a prisoner, carrying an axe under his arm and igniting a cigarette.

Sharing the first look on Twitter, Vanga wrote, “Presenting you the first look of ANIMAL. HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE.”

The director is known to helm projects like Arjun Reddy and its Hindi remake Kabir Singh before this. Rashmika Mandanna, who stars opposite Ranbir in the film, also shared the poster on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Animal first look is here. So, so excited for you all to see this look.”

Recently, a few stills from the sets of Animal got leaked. In one of them, Ranbir was seen sporting a bearded look with long hair and was wearing what seemed like a jail inmate’s attire.

Apart from Ranbir and Rashmika, the cast also includes Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in prominent roles.

The film is slated to release on August 11.
