Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur-starrer Gumraah will release on April 7, 2023, in theatres. The film, helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar, is a crime thriller based on true events. 

In Gumraah, Aditya has a double role while Mrunal essays a cop. According to a note, the thriller 'will showcase an intense face-off between Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur.' Gumraah is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. 

Mrunal Thakur was last seen in Sita Ramam. She stars opposite Emraan Hashmi in the upcoming Selfiee. The film also features Akshay Kumar. Aditya Roy Kapur's next is The Night Manager, a thriller series co-starring Anil Kapoor.
