We recently reported that Varun Dhawan's next, tentatively titled VD18 went on floors. On Sunday, the actor took to his official Instagram story to share that he injured his leg while shooting for the film. 

Sharing a photo of his swollen leg, he wrote, "Swollen shin, banged into an iron rod." 

Varun's upcoming film is helmed by Tamil director Kalees who previously helmed the 2019 film Kee. Also starring Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi, the film is backed by Atlee and Murad Khetani. 

Said to be an action entertainer, the yet-to-be-titled film is slated to hit the big screens on May 31, 2024. 

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan had the release of Bawaal this year. The film, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, also stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. Apart from VD18, the Raj and DK series Citadel India, in which Varun starred alongside Samantha, is in the post-production stage.
