After playing Balbir Singh in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Anil Kapoor is all set to portray Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh in his next film Fighter.
Anil took to Instagram to share his first look and wrote, “Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh Call Sign: Rocky Designation: Commanding Officer Unit: Air Dragons Fighter Forever.” The actor’s first look as a commanding officer in Fighter gives an essence of leadership and strength. As per the official statement from the makers, Anil’s character is a masterclass in depth and gravitas, infusing life into a character that encapsulates integrity, strength, dedication, and commitment.
Earlier, Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan's character posters from the film were unveiled. While Deepika plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, Hrithik Roshan plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania.
The motion poster of Fighter was released on Independence Day 2023, which provided the first glimpse at the three actors, who play Indian Air Force (IAF) officers in the movie.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter also stars Anil Kapoor. The film is backed by Ajit Andhare (Viacom18 Studios), Mamta Anand, Ramon Chibb, and Anku Pande. During a previous conversation about the film, Siddharth expressed that Fighter is one of his dream projects.
The film is set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.
