Shah Rukh Khan's much-anticipated film Jawan, which is all set to release in theatres on September 7, has received a U/A certificate from the censor board.

The Censor Board of film certification (CBFC) has cleared the film with a U/A (under adult supervision) certificate. Its runtime is 2 hours and 49 minutes. Its duration is much longer than Shah Rukh’s last film Pathaan.

Jawan, directed by filmmaker Atlee, is an action-heavy film also starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film, which is backed by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment. The film will see a simultaneous release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

After the release of Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan will appear in Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy-drama film Dunki. The film, also starring Taapsee Pannu, will mark his first collaboration with the acclaimed director.
