‘Jamnapaar’, the third song from Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday’s upcoming comedy-of-errors Dream Girl 2 was released by the makers on Monday. The song is an item number based on Ayushmann’s character Karam’s alter ego Pooja.
Neha Kakkar and Meet Bros have crooned the song while the music is given by Meet Bros. The lyrics have been penned by Kumaar.
The music video shows Ayushmann, dressed as Pooja, swaying to the beats. He is also seen exchanging furtive glances with Vijay Raaz, who plays one of Pooja’s admirers. Manjot Singh, who played Ayushmann’s Karam’s friend in the previous Dream Girl, is also featured in the song.
Previously two songs from the Dream Girl 2 album have been released. ‘Dil Ka Telephone 2.0’ and ‘Naach’ both are picturised on Ayushmann and Ananya Panday, who plays the love-interest Pari in the film.
The film, a sequel to the 2019 hit Dream Girl, is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Earlier, the makers released the trailer of the film. The trailer shows Ayushmann reprising his role as Karamveer Singh, aka Pooja, and Annu Kapoor returns as his father, Jagjeet Singh. Karam still uses his androgynous voice to lure men over the phone, but it isn’t enough to pay bills. He finally decides to not just sound but even dress up like his alter ego Pooja. The trailer promises a lot of comedy of errors and one-liners that have become a Raaj Shandilyaa signature.
The film also stars an ensemble cast of Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi and Manjot. It will be released in theatres on August 25.
