Rajkummar Rao reveals his dream role

He revealed that he wishes to portray Bhagat Singh

Rajkummar Rao's latest work, Guns and Gulaabs is now premiering on Netflix. While the actor is busy filming for other films in his pipeline, he recently revealed his dream role that he wishes he could play. 

The actor, who has previously played Subhas Chandra Bose in Bose: Dead/Alive, said that it is his dream to play the role of Bhagat Singh. In an interview with Pinkvilla, he said, “Of course, I’m very passionate about Bhagat Singh and his journey, and to present him on screen in a very different way than whatever you have seen till now. But, if I would ever do Bhagat Singh, it will be a very different take on his life and, me playing him as an actor."

So far, there have been a number of Bollywood films that have had an insight into the life of Bhagat Singh.  The Legend of Bhagat Singh, 23rd March 1931: Shaheed, Rang De Basanti are some examples. 

Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao has completed filming for Sri, helmed by Tushar Hiranandani. He is also filming for Mr And Mrs Mahi and Stree 2.
