The trailer of Saiyami Kher and Abhishek Bachchan's Ghoomer was released by the makers on Friday. While the trailer has been receiving a lot of support, Indian cricketers like Sourav Ganguly and Ajinkya Rahane have praised it on their official X handles.

Sourav Ganguly wrote, "One of my favourite actors, Abhishek. The trailer looks brilliant. Waiting for the full film. Must see for everyone. God bless and good wishes to the entire cast and crew." (sic)

Replying to Ganguly, Abhishek said, "Coming from one of my favourite sportsmen this is very high praise. Thank you so much, Dada."

Further, Ajinkya Rahane also penned a few words on the trailer. "Loved the Ghoomer trailer. The coach-student relationship is most special. Goosebumps. Perfect role for Saiyami Kher who loves the game and Abhishek Bachchan :). Good luck to the whole team." (sic)

Helmed by R Balki, Ghoomer is inspired by the story of Karoly Takacs, the late Hungarian right-hand shooter who won two Olympic gold medals with his left hand after his other one was seriously injured. Besides Saiyami and Abhishek, the film also stars Shabana Azmi and Angad Bedi.

The technical crew of Ghoomer consists of Vishal Sinha as the cinematographer, with Amit Trivedi scoring the music. It will get a theatrical release in India on August 18.
