Actor Bharti Jaffery, known for her work in Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence, and popular 90s serial Saans, is no more. She was the daughter of India's cinema icon Ashok Kumar.  

The news of Bharti's passing was shared on social media by her son-in-law and actor Kanwaljit Singh, who is married to the former's actor-daughter Anuradha Patel.  

In a post, Kanwaljit wrote, "Our beloved Bharti Jaffery, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbour, friend and inspiration has departed today 20 Sep (sic)."

He also shared that she was cremated at the Cherai Crematorium in Mumbai.
