The National Award-winning actor Pankaj Tripathi revealed that he would like to direct a film.

According to IANS, Pankaj noted that he came into the world of cinema as he loves the process of how an actor becomes a part of the story telling. "Coming from a small village in Bihar, I grew up listening to stories. Now I have developed a liking for telling stories too. So, apart from acting, I would like to direct a movie. A producer also plays an important part, but it is the director who has the vision of the story."

For Pankaj,  Anurag Kashyap's directorial Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) gave a big breakthrough. The actor, who was last seen in the film Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga, has a bunch of projects in the pipeline including Fukrey 3 and OMG 2.
