The trailer of Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram Vedha released on Thursday. The film is the Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil original of the same name. Both versions are helmed by director duo Pushkar-Gayatri.

The trailer opens with Hrithik’s gangster Vedha and Saif’s cop Vikram facing each other in the rain. A fight ensues. Intercutting between the fight sequence, we see the lives of the two characters. Vedha is a small-time goon climbing up the ranks with each crime. He is seen wielding a katana, smashing heads against washbasins and blasting an AK-47. Saif’s Vikram on the other hand is seen shooting the baddies. His wife is played by Radhika Apte, who in a scene questions the morals of police encounters. An interrogation scene shows Vedha telling Vikram about crime and life’s moral ambiguities. Vijay Raaz’s voice-over announces, “In this story, truth and lie both are wrong.”

The film also stars Rohit Saraf, Yogita Bihani, Sharib Hashmi and Satyadeep Mishra in promising roles.

Vikram Vedha is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment in association with Friday Filmworks & Jio Studios and a YNOT Studios Production. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, S. Sashikanth and Reliance Entertainment.

The film will hit the big screens globally on September 30.
