ZEE5’s new crime thriller series Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke goes on floors

Streaming platform ZEE5 has announced a new series, Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the series focuses on a woman IPS officer, Kavya, who fights for the country in the troubled regions of Northeast India.

Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke went on the floor last month in Meghalaya. The series is described as 'an edge-of-the-seat thriller about the numerous insurgents in the north-east and the constant hostility and threats by them.' It highlights the story of heroes in uniform who works towards the betterment of the country. It also portrays the struggles they go through while balancing it all - family, critical cases, a constant tussle to gain the respect of colleagues and seniors.

Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke will be shot across 4 states – Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Kerala, Maharashtra. It will premiere on ZEE5 next year.

Srijit Mukherji had last helmed Shabaash Mithu, Ray and Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga in Hindi.
