Netizens troll Adipurush teaser for its poor VFX effects

The teaser of Adipurush, the upcoming multilingual Ramayana based film, was unveiled by the makers recently, at an event held in Ayodhya. Though the teaser managed to create conversations surrounding it, many social media users trolled it, blaming its poor quality.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is an animated motion capture film, which is based on Hindu mythology Ramayana. While Prabhas plays Raghava (Ram), Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan play Janaki (Sita) and Lankesh (Raavan) respectively.

Made on a grand budget over Rs 400 crore, out of which majority was spent for the VFX team, the graphics of the film did not satisfy the audience. One social media user wrote, "Hiring Vfx artist from team 'Oh My Friend Ganesha (sic)." While another person wrote on Twitter, “700 cr Temple Run (laughing emojis),” netizens also pointed out how Prabhas used body enhancement methods through technology rather than improving his fitness.  One Twitter user wrote, "Exclusive: #Adipurush satellite rights bagged by POGO channel".

Adipurush is scheduled to release on January 12, 2023 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
