Brahmastra collects Rs 425 crore during 25 day theatrical run

The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, the first installment of Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy trilogy, has collected Rs 425 crore at the worldwide box office during its 25-day run in theatres, the makers revealed.

Brahmastra also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, in pivotal roles, with Shah Rakh Khan making a cameo appearance during the beginning of the film. The film is intended to serve as the first part of the Astraverse cinematic universe created by Ayan. With Ranbir essaying the titular role Shiva in Brahmastra, the film’s sequel is expected to focus on Shiva’s father Dev and his mother.

Besides Hindi, Brahmastra also released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada. The film is currently running in theatres and will make its OTT debut soon.
