Sidharth Malhotra-starrer Yodha will release on July 7, 2023, the makers announced on Wednesday.

The first of a proposed franchise, the action film is directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. With Sidharth in the lead, it also features Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna.

Yodha is presented by Amazon and Dharma in partnership with Shashank Khaitan's Mentor Disciple Films.

A poster of the film was earlier released. It depicted Sidharth aiming a gun in combat gear, with bruises and cuts on his hands and face.

Dharma Productions had also backed the war biopic Shershaah starring Sidharth. The actor's upcoming film is Mission Majnu co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. He is also shooting for Rohit Shetty's web series Indian Police Force.

Sidharth recently won the Best Actor award for contributions to Indian cinema at NBT Utsav 2022. Previously, Shershaah picked up Best Action and Best Editing at the 67th Filmfare Awards.
