Kalki Koechlin, Deepti Naval film Goldfish set for Indian premiere at IFFI

We had earlier reported about Kalki Koechlin and Deepti Naval starring in a UK production titled GoldfishThe film, which won rave reviews at the 2022 Busan Film Festival, is set to have its Indian premiere at the ongoing IFFI on Thursday.

Goldfish is written, directed, and has cinematography by Pushan Kripalani. Deepti Naval and Kalki Koechlin play a mother-daughter duo in the film. Set in London, the film deals with memory, music, mental health, and identity. It starts when Anamika (Kalki) returns home to her estranged mother Sadhana (Deepti Naval), because she is suffering from the onset of dementia. Anamika returns to a neighbourhood she barely remembers, to a woman who sometimes doesn't remember her. It is about how they explore these complex emotions.

Goldfish also stars Rajat Kapur, Bharti Patel, Ravin J Gantara, and Gordon Warnecke. It is produced by Amit Saxena’s Splendid Films (USA) and executive produced by Pooja Chauhan.
