Actor Zaheer Iqbal made his Bollywood debut in the 2019 romance, Notebook. More recently, he was seen alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi in Double XL (2022).

Mudassar Aziz, the writer and co-producer of Double XL, has now signed Zaheer for a 3-film deal. The actor will shortly begin filming for his second, billed to be a sports drama. The film is currently in the early stages of development.

Zaheer shares, "Mudassar saw my work on the set and asked me to collaborate with him on future projects. I believe in impressing others with my efforts and demonstrating that I am enduring."

Double XL told the story of two plus-sized women who overcome judgement and body-image issues over a London shoot. Zaheer portrayed a do-gooder cabbie, Zorawar, in the film. The comedy-drama also featured Mahat Raghavendra as one of the other leads.
