It has been a joyous year for Anupam Kher. After being part of the year’s highest Hindi grosser The Kashmir Files, his latest release Uunchai has been faring pretty well at the box office. So much so that he wasn’t able to get a ticket for his own film.

In a video, which the actor posted on Twitter, he can be seen, dressed in a suit, asking for the film’s ticket at the counter. He is then told that the film is “housefull” and he can’t secure a ticket. He then says, “Mujhe mana kar rahe hai? Maine iss picture mein acting kiya hai (You are refusing me? I have acted in the film).” When the person dismisses him again, Kher asks if he can stand and watch the film, and then laughs out loudly. He then approaches the film’s director Sooraj Barjatya and tells him “Sir sab full hain ticket nahi mili”(Shows are housefull sir, couldn’t get ticket)

At the end of the video, a fan can be heard telling Anupam “very good movie.”

Uunchai has shown tremendous growth in its first week.
