We had earlier reported that Randeep Hooda is reuniting with Netflix for the series CAT, two years after he first collaborated with them in Extraction (2020).

Now, the streaming giant has announced the release date of the global series. The crime thriller, based in the backdrop of the Punjab hinterlands, is set to premiere on the streamer on December 9.

CAT revolves around an innocent man thrown into a drug trafficking conspiracy between gang lords, cops, and political powers.

Earlier, in a statement about the series, Randeep said, “Working with Netflix is always a pleasure. I had a tremendous time during Extraction and the love it got me from around the world was phenomenal. CAT again has all the elements to appeal to a global audience. It has given me an opportunity to explore new facets as an actor in a simple but intriguing script. Can’t wait to see the audience reaction to the series.”

Created by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the series is co-directed by him along with Rupinder Chahal and Anutej Singh.

Apart from CAT, Randeep also has the series Inspector Avinash and Sony Pictures' Tera Kya Hoga Lovely alongside Ileana D'Cruz. He is also making his directorial debut with the Veer Savarkar biopic, which has him play the titular role.
