John Abraham quells Salaar rumours: 'I will never do a regional film'

John Abraham has trashed rumours of featuring in Prabhas-starrer Salaar. The actor added that he will never do a 'regional film' being a Hindi film hero.

Speaking to india.com, John was quoted as saying, "I will never do a regional film. I am a Hindi film hero. I will never do a film as a second lead just to be there. I am not going to do a Telugu or any regional film like other actors just to be in that business."

John has exclusively starred in Hindi films throughout his career (Water, his 2005 film with Deepa Mehta, was a Hindi-English bilingual).

He did, however, produce the 2018 Marathi film Savita Damodar Paranjpe, and is backing the upcoming Malayalam title Mike.

John's new film, Attack, is releasing in theatres this Friday. He will next be seen in Ek Villain 2 followed by Pathaan.
