Television actor Anagha Bhosale has quit the entertainment industry, citing religious reasons. Anagha portrayed the character Nandini, a classical dancer, on the Disney+ Hotstar series Anupamaa. She also appeared in the TV series Dadi Amma... Dadi Amma Maan Jaao.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Anagha says she took the decision due to her 'religious beliefs & spiritual path.'

A little ahead, she explains that the field she was in 'tampers' with her consciousness levels, and derails her from her beliefs. As such, she has taken the decision to move away from the entertainment world.

In 2019, Dangal actor Zaira Wasim had famously quit the film industry due to religious reasons. Her last appearance was The Sky Is Pink.
