Karan Johar announced the release date of season 7 of Koffee with Karan on Sunday. The director-producer shared a teaser video, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, who had appeared in previous seasons of the show. The new season will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from July 7. 

Karan posted the teaser on Instagram and wrote, “Guess who’s back? And this time with some hot piping brew! Hotstar Specials Koffee with Karan S7 starts 7th July only on Disney+ Hotstar!”

The guest list of the new season hasn’t been revealed but according to sources Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif will appear together this time.

Koffee with Karan first aired on November 19, 2004 on Star World India. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were the guests in the maiden episode. Many celebrities like Richard Gere, Mahesh Bhupati, Anurag Kashyap, Twinkle Khanna, Akshay Kumar, Javed Akhtar, Prabhas, S.S Rajamouli, among others, have featured on the show. K.L Rahul and Hardik Pandya were the first cricketers to appear in the show in its final season.

Koffee with Karan was the second longest-running talk show, after Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan, on Hindi-language television. The series concluded its last season on March 17, 2019.
