Mrunal Thakur will be playing the role of a cop in the upcoming thriller, Gumrah. The Super 30-actor has shared that she underwent physical training for the role.

Speaking about the experience, the actor said in a statement, "For portraying the role of a committed cop, I had to go through extensive body training, from getting physically trained to maintaining the body structure while running with trained athletes."

She added, "I have tried everything to adapt to the essence of a cop. My preparation for the role also involved talking to and spending time with some female cops of our force in order to understand their world through a better lens."

The film, a remake of the 2019 Tamil film, Thadam, stars  Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead role. Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar, Gumraah is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
