KK's last rites begin at Mumbai cemetery

Vishal Bhardwaj, Shreya Ghoshal, Papon, Shankar Mahadevan, Himansh Kohli, and others arrived to pay their respects to the departed singer

Singer KK's last rites are being performed at the Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai. KK passed away on Tuesday night after a concert in Kolkata. He was 53.

Autopsy reports suggest he died of cardiac arrest. His mortal remains were brought to Mumbai earlier today.

Several of his colleagues joined KK's family members at the funeral. Vishal Bhardwaj, Shreya Ghoshal, Papon, Shankar Mahadevan, Himansh Kohli, and others arrived to pay their respects to the departed singer.

KK fell ill while performing at a college fest at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata. He was rushed to his hotel and then to CMRI hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Videos of KK leaving the concert venue, looking sick and exhausted, have circulated online. Fans have blamed the organisers for poor management, including an overflow of attendees at the event. The Kolkata Police has also registered a case of unnatural death. KK is survived by his wife, Jyothi, and two kids.
