Kareena Kapoor Khan has become the latest celebrity to comment on the controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot for a foreign magazine. Stating that everyone has ‘a lot of free time’, Kareena said the issue has become an ‘open ticket’ for people to discuss and have debates.

Ranveer’s photoshoot with Paper Magazine, earlier this month, became a national issue after an FIR was registered by a Mumbai- based NGO against the actor for ‘outraging the modesty of women.’

I think bolne ke liye sabko bolna hai (I think people say it for the sake of saying),” Kareena told India Today. “It is an open ticket for everyone to discuss and have debates. I feel like everyone has a lot of free time too because everyone has an opinion on everything. I don’t know why it is such a big take. Like I said, it just proves that everyone has a lot of free time.”

Earlier celebrities like director Vivek Agnihotri and actor Swara Bhasker also gave their two cents on the issue. While Vivek said the matter was ‘getting undue attention for no reason’, Swara said ‘unbelievable foolishness and unemployment is rampant in our country.’

Kareena is awaiting the release of Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan and Naga Chaitanya. She is soon going to make her OTT debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s The Devotion of Suspect X alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.
