Naga Chaitanya in a dual role in Laal Singh Chaddha?

CE Features

If the reports in the tinsel town are anything to go by, actor Naga Chaitanya will be seen in a dual role in his debut Bollywood film Laal Singh Chaddha, the Indian adaptation of Tom Hanks' 1994 drama Forrest Gump.

Grapevine is that he will be seen as grandfather and grandson in the film also starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

"Both these roles were named Balaraju, but the distinction is that one is an Army officer, and the other is a villager, who sports long hair and a thick mustache. Chay had a ball portraying this older character, for which he took a cue from his late grandfather ANR (Akkineni Nageswara Rao)," says a source, adding, "The original doesn't have this old character, but it was Aamir's creative addition."

Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is slated to release on August 11.
