The former chairman of the Indian Premiere League (IPL) Lalit Modi and actor Sushmita Sen are dating. Lalit made the announcement on Twitter and called Sushmita his “better half” and described the event as a “new beginning”.

“Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon," wrote Lalit, while sharing some pictures with Sushmita.

Lalit, who is the founder of IPL, in another tweet also clarified that they are “just dating” and aren’t married yet. “That too will happen some day,” he wrote.

Lalit was previously married to Minal Sagrani, whom he married in October of 1991. They have two children together - son Ruchir and daughter Aliya. He is also a stepfather to Karima Sagrani, from Minal's first marriage.

Before this, Sushmita was in a relationship with Rohman Shawl, whom she met through Instagram in
2018, but they broke up last year.
