Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh appeared together on the debut episode of Koffee With Karan season 7. During the chat, Alia, married to actor Ranbir Kapoor, revealed how Ranbir had proposed to her. The couple were at the Maasai Mara national reserve, in Kenya, where Ranbir popped the question. 

"He (Ranbir) totally blew my mind away," Alia recalled to host Karan Johar during the conversation. "We were not talking about it... He didn't tell anyone. He just carried the ring and he did it in the most amazing place. It's a place which we both have a strong connection with, which is Maasai Mara. It was in the middle of the jungle, it was just amazing." 

Ranbir even planted a guide to take pictures of the moment, Alia revealed. "I was like, 'You took pictures?' Because he knows how much pictures mean to me... And I saw those pictures and it was too special." 

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were married in April this year. Last month, the couple announced their first pregnancy through an Instagram post. Their first film together, Brahmastra, is due in September. 

Other highlights of the Koffee With Karan episode included Ranveer Singh mimicking, with startling accuracy, actors Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aaryan, Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn. Ranveer also revealed how he was 'unceremoniously dropped' from Anurag Kashyap's magnum opus Bombay Velvet (2015) because his perceived star value back then didn't measure up to the film's massive budget. "But things have changed," he winked.
