Mrunal Thakur tests positive for COVID-19, isolates with mild symptoms

The actor has urged people who came in contact with her to get tested

Actor Mrunal Thakur has tested positive for COVID-19. In an online statement, Mrunal shared her diagnosis and urged people who came in contact with her to get tested. The actor revealed she has mild symptoms and has isolated herself.

"I have tested positive for Covid-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I’m feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals.

If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested immediately. Stay safe everyone,” Mrunal wrote.

Recently, Mrunal's film, Jersey, co-starring Shahid Kapoor, was indefinitely postponed amid rising cases. It was slated to release on December 31.

Earlier this week, Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Shilpa Shirodkar tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Arjun's sister, Anshula, and cousin, Rhea Kapoor, and her husband, Karan Boolani, have also contracted the virus.
