Netflix India is pushing to spotlight new and young talent across its range of titles, a spokesperson from the streamer says. 

Last year, up-and-comer Adarsh Gourav broke out with his BAFTA-nominated performance in The White Tiger. In addition, names like Anchal Singh (Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein), Rohit Saraf (Mismatched), Sparsh Shrivastava (Jamtara - Sabka Number Ayega), and Muskkaan Jaferi (Mismatched, the forthcoming The Fame Game) have shone on the platform. 

The spokesperson says, “At Netflix, we are on a constant lookout for new voices and stories that represent India’s creative reservoir. We want to reflect as many lives on screen as possible to be able to bring the best and finest form of authenticity to our storytelling. In the last year, we have seen our members shower immense love for new talent including Gourav Adarsh in The White Tiger, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi and Anchal Singh in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein to Rohit Saraf in Mismatched and more. We have an exciting 2022 slate of films and series that’ll bring even more new faces and voices to create memorable characters and stories.”
