Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will release in theatres on May 20. The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu. It has been directed by Anees Bazmee and written by Farhad Samji and Aakash Kaushik.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was shot over several locations, including Lucknow, Jaipur, Mumbai and Manali. Unlike the first film, which was a psychological thriller, the sequel will be a bonafide horror film, Anees has said.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) starred Akshay Kumar as a psychiatrist who returns to India to investigate an allegedly haunted palace. The film was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam epic Manichitrathazhu.

Kartik Aaryan was last seen in Dhamaka (on Netflix). His upcoming films include Freddy and Shehzada.
