Janhvi Kapoor: I hope to do a south Indian film very soon

Actor Janhvi Kapoor, last seen in Mili, revealed her desire to work in South Indian films. The actor was in Chennai on Monday for a store launch event.

On the sidelines of the event, the actor spoke about her upcoming projects. Without revealing many details, she said, "I am hoping to a South film very soon." Janhvi also noted that she has two Hindi films in the pipeline-- Bawaal and Mr and Mrs Mahi.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Bawaal stars Varun Dhawan and the makers noted that the film will hit theatres on April 7, 2023. On the other hand, Mr and Mrs Mahi is directed by Sharan Sharma. It is a story about cricket aspirations and stars Rajkumar Rao as Mahendra and Janhvi as Mahima. It may be noted that Janhvi was part of two Hindi adaptations of South Indian films--Good Luck Jerry, the remake of the Tamil film Kolamavu Kokila and Mili, the remake of the Malayalam film Helen
