The White Lotus Season 2 has got another admirer. Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram stories on Saturday to praise the American black comedy-drama anthology. Calling it “genius”, the actor also tagged filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and asked her if they can do something like this.

“White Lotus Season 2 – One word – Genius. We can do this too… Zoya Akhtar Are you listening?” posted the Laal Singh Chaddha actor.

The Dil Dhadakne Do director was quick to respond to the suggestion and posted her reply. Reposting Kareena’s Instagram story, Zoya wrote, “Can’t wait, Kareena Kapoor Khan.” She also added, “I hear you Loud and Clear,” leaving fans anticipating an Indian version of the show.

On the work front, Zoya is gearing up for the release of The Archies, the Indian version of the popular comic. The film will mark the debut of Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina.

Kareena, on the other hand, recently wrapped up the shooting of Hansal Mehta’s next. The film, a thriller, will also mark her debut as a producer. The actor will also venture into the OTT space with Sujoy Ghosh’s film, which is an adaptation of the novel The Devotion Of Suspect X. She will star in it alongside Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. She also has Rhea Kapoor’s next film with Tabu and Kriti Sanon, which will be based on the airline industry.
