Nawazuddin Siddiqui drops new look from Haddi 

The actor essays a transwoman in Akshat Ajay Sharma's noir revenge drama

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui on Saturday dropped a new look from his upcoming film, Haddi. The critically-lauded actor essays the role of a transwoman in the film. In the new still, Nawazuddin is seen in a red saree and a bridal-style necklace. He has dark red lipstick on and a red bindi and earrings. 

Writing in Hindi, Nawazuddin captioned the image, "I am getting trapped in your eyes, I don't want to live but I am living on."

Directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, Haddi is described as a noir revenge drama. The film is co-written by Akshat Ajay Sharma and Adamya Bhalla. It is expected to release in 2023.

Talking about the film, Nawazuddin had earlier shared, "I have portrayed different interesting characters but Haddi is going to be a unique and special one since I will be sporting a never-seen-before look and it will also help me to push the envelope as an actor. Looking forward to starting shooting the film."

Besides Haddi, Nawazuddin has Tiku Weds Sheru, Afwaah, Noorani Chehra and Adbhut in his 2023 slate.
