Alia Bhatt: I loved Master and Vikram

During the press meet of Brahmastra in Chennai, Alia Bhatt, through a video byte, revealed that she watched the Vijay-starrer Master and the Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram, which became a rage in North India. 

Speaking of Tamil Nadu, Alia added, "People in Tamil Nadu are so warm and welcoming. I've been consuming so much Tamil content, and I loved Master and Vikram, which has become a rage here."

She further noted that she is proud to be an Indian actor and that Brahmastra is a labour of love from Indian cinema. Ahead of the release, the makers of Brahmastra were in Chennai on Wednesday to promote the film. The event was graced by presenter SS Rajamouli, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Ranbir Kapoor. 

Brahmastra is a superhero-fantasy epic set in the modern world. Ranbir plays a DJ, who is born with the ability to control fire. The cast also features Alia Bhatt (Isha), Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and others.

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures, Brahmastra will release theatrically on September 9 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is presented by SS Rajamouli in the south.
